CLAMP

2024, 1″x 1″ Digital Prints on 3.5″ x 3.5″ backings

“Clamp” refers to sexuality, small acts of self-pleasure, self-consciousness, and voyeurism. A clamp is an industrial thing. A woodworking tool. A way to squish or pinch. The bodies in this series are being squished and indulged in and hidden at the same time. The broader project that this work belongs to involves several series of small scale photos which were taken in and around my house and parks at off hours, investigating strained relationships between how images are captured and bodily presence.
