Glazed Stonewear, 2025
A network of 36 individual hand built and wheel-thrown worms. They were dug from the ground and are curling together in solidarity against my disturbance. I’m interested in how clay is an earth material which is then used in craft and industrial processes. As I made each unit, I thought of them as similar to dragging a finger through mud or dirt, the pinched out shapes following the rough size of my hands.
