Hello my name is luca mille Budofsky. I’m a multimedia artist currently Based in Pittsburgh. I work both sculpturally and with images through drawing, painting, and photography, but My primary interest is in textile and craft processes and the ways they can be used to mediate information.
Textiles are entangled with labor, land, and materials. In using these materials, I’m interested in chance encounters with light and substances, change over time, dream-like spaces, and how my body contends with its physical surroundings. i look for clarity in process and repetition.
I’m currently pursuing a BFA with a Concentration in Sculpture, Installation, and Site-Work, and minors in Soft Technology and Social and Political History at Carnegie Mellon University.
