Hello my name is luca mille Budofsky. I’m a multimedia artist from Northern NJ, currently Based in Pittsburgh. I’m a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University school of art where i earned a bfa with a concentration in Sculpture, Installation, and Site-Work and a Minor in Soft Technologies. I work sculpturally and with images through drawing, painting, Ceramics, Installation, soft sculpture, and photography. My primary interest is in fibrous and woven structures and how they shift between bodily, industrial, and environmental schemes.

In my work I consider materials that moves systematically, bit by bit. Fiber and clay——like land and dirt——compounds or erodes non-uniformly over time, the body aiding with indeterminate interference. Ecological, industrial, and interpersonal systems intertwine in ways that are hard to make sense of. This instills in me a desire to extract, un-tangle, and re-tangle as I try to parse how my own internal mechanisms relate to meteorological systems, industrial mechanisms, and tools used for capture and extraction.
